OUR PROCESSES

Nowadays, our work is highly mechanized, but the experience and know-how of our staff are essential to guarantee the best quality in the product.

The almond shelling is carried out by mechanical processes, and the separation of the almond grain and the shells is produced, in a first step, by pneumatic systems and then by optical selection. As a result, we obtain the clean almond grain and its shell separately.

The almond grain is processed and reviewed with the latest optical selection technology and manually for a final touch, to guarantee that it is offered completely clean of possible foreign matter and ready for consumption. We offer calibrated almonds in different sizes to suit the needs of each client in terms of quality and price.

The almond shells are a by-product that is mainly used as biomass fuel for heating in industrial, livestock and domestic boilers.

WHERE ARE WE?

We are located in the northern area of the province of Granada. This area, recognized by UNESCO as a Geopark for its orography and geological formations, covers the counties of Baza, Huéscar and Guadix, and together with the neighboring counties of the Spanish southeast, it is currently one of the largest almonds producing areas in Spain.

We work almost exclusively with almonds from our geographical area, where the climate, dry and hot in summer, and marked by very cold winters, gives the almonds grown here an excellent quality and flavor. This climate favors the absence of diseases and pests in almond cultivation, which greatly facilitates organic farming.
